Date safely on ZedMit

Most people here are genuine. These habits keep you safe from the few who are not.

Never send money

No genuine match will ask you for money, airtime or a mobile money transfer, no matter how convincing the story sounds. Requests for money are the number one sign of a scam.

Never share a PIN or password

Nobody from ZedMit will ever ask for your mobile money PIN, bank details or password. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you.

Keep chats on ZedMit

Scammers move conversations to WhatsApp quickly so there is no record. Stay here until you genuinely trust the person.

Meet in public first

Choose a busy, well-lit place in town for a first date. Arrange your own transport there and back.

Tell a friend

Share where you are going, who you are meeting and when you expect to be home.

Trust your instincts

If something feels wrong, leave. Then block and report the profile so we can protect other people.
